How to Manage Upload Methods (Camera & Gallery)

This guide explains how to control how guests can upload photos to your event — using the camera, the gallery, or both.

You can adjust these settings at any time, even during an active event.

What Are Upload Methods?

Upload methods define which options are available to guests on the upload page.

You can allow:

  • Camera only
  • Gallery only
  • Both camera and gallery

The upload page will automatically show only the methods you enable.

Step 1 — Open Event Settings

  1. Go to Events
  2. Open the event you want to edit
  3. In the left sidebar, click Settings

Step 2 — Find the Upload Methods Section

In Settings, scroll to the Upload Methods section.

Here you will see two toggles:

  • Camera
  • Gallery

Step 3 — Choose Allowed Upload Methods

Option 1 — Camera Only

Enable Camera

Disable Gallery

Guests will:

  • Take a photo directly with their device camera
  • Not be able to select photos from their gallery

This is useful for:

  • Photo booths
  • Live moment capture
  • Controlled photo quality

Disable Camera

Enable Gallery

Guests will:

  • Upload existing photos from their phone
  • Not see the camera option

This is useful for:

  • Events where photos are taken by a photographer
  • Uploading edited or pre-selected images

Enable Camera

Enable Gallery

Guests will be able to:

  • Take a new photo
  • Upload a photo from their device

This is the most flexible option and works best for most events.

Step 4 — Check the Guest Upload Page

The upload page automatically adapts to your settings.

  • If only Camera is enabled → guests see only the camera button
  • If only Gallery is enabled → guests see only the gallery option
  • If both are enabled → guests can choose

Important Notes

  • Changes are applied instantly
  • You don’t need to regenerate the link or QR code
  • Guests will see updated options immediately after refresh
