How to Set Photo Upload Limits

This guide explains how to control how many photos guests can upload during an event. You can limit uploads per user or set a total limit for the entire event.

These settings help prevent spam uploads, control printing volume, and manage production costs.

Step 1 — Open Event Settings

Go to Events and open the event you want to configure.

In the left sidebar, click Settings.

Step 2 — Set User Photo Limits (Per Guest)

In the User photo limits section, you can restrict how many photos each guest is allowed to upload.

  1. Enable Limit photo uploads per user.
  2. Enter the maximum number of photos one user can upload.

For example:

  • 1   — each guest can upload only one photo
  • 3   — each guest can upload up to three photos
  • 0   — unlimited uploads per user

Step 3 — Set Event Photo Limits (Total for the Event)

In the Event photo limits section, you can limit the total number of photos that can be uploaded during the entire event.

  1. Enable Limit photo uploads per event.
  2. Enter the maximum number of photos allowed for the event.

Once this limit is reached, no more uploads will be accepted.

For example:

  • 100   — the event will accept up to 100 photos in total
  • 0   — unlimited uploads for the entire event

Step 4 — How Limits Work Together

You can use user limits, event limits, or both at the same time.

Examples:

  • User limit = 2, Event limit = 50

→ Each guest can upload up to 2 photos, but the event stops at 50 total uploads.

  • User limit = unlimited, Event limit = 200

→ Guests can upload freely until the event reaches 200 photos.

When any limit is reached, guests will see a message explaining that uploads are no longer available.

Tips & Recommendations

  • Use per-user limits for public events or QR-based uploads.
  • Use event limits if you want to control total printing volume.
  • For private or small events, limits can often be left unlimited.
