Creating and Setting Up a NINEMAGS Template

This guide explains how to create a dedicated Shopify product template for NINEMAGS, add the NINEMAGS upload button, and correctly connect the template to your product.

1. Create a Product Template in Shopify

Before using NINEMAGS, you need to create a separate Shopify product template.

This template will contain the NINEMAGS upload button.

Step 1: Open Shopify Admin

Go to Online Store → Themes

Step 2: Open Theme Editor

Click Edit theme
Make sure you are editing the active theme

Step 3: Open Product Templates

At the top of the editor, open the template selector
Choose Home page → Products

Step 4: Create a New Template

Click Create template

Step 5: Name the Template

Enter a clear name, for example:

ninemags_template
The template will be created based on Default product
Click Create template

2. Add the NINEMAGS Button to the Product Template

After creating the template, you need to add the NINEMAGS upload button, which allows customers to upload images.

Step 1: Open the Created Product Template

Go to Online Store → Themes → Edit theme
In the template selector, choose your product template

(for example, ninemags_template )

Step 2: Open Product Information Section

This is the main product section that contains:

price
variants
quantity selector
buy buttons

Step 3: Add a Block

Inside Product information, click Add block

Step 4: Add NINEMAGS Button

Go to the Apps tab
Select NINEMAGS button

Step 5: Confirm Button Appearance

The NINEMAGS button will appear in the block list on the left
On the product preview, you will see the “Upload pictures” button

3. Recommended Button Placement

✅ Recommended

Place the NINEMAGS button:

between Quantity selector and Buy buttons, or
directly above the buy buttons

❌ Not Recommended

placing the button below the product description
placing it far away from buy buttons
duplicating the button multiple times

4. Customize the NINEMAGS Button

To make the button look native and user-friendly, adjust its settings.

Step 1: Open Button Settings

Click NINEMAGS button in the block list on the left
The settings panel will open on the right
